Lose 10 kilos in two weeks, or just don't
On 30 December 2022 the Dutch national broadcaster NOS asked dietitians what they think of crash diets after the holidays. Anisa Pilon, then a dietitian at NutriHealth, was one of them.

Every year around New Year, adverts promise fast results: ten kilos off in two weeks. NOS put that promise to dietitians. Their answer was unanimous: don't. A crash diet gives you a quick number on the scales, but no lasting change.
Anisa Pilon, then a dietitian at NutriHealth, stressed in the article that after the holidays too much attention goes to weight. A couple of kilos more in Christmas week is mostly fluid and a full gut, not fat, and disappears once the normal rhythm returns. A resolution is not a bad thing, as long as it gives structure instead of guilt.
That message is exactly how we work: no quick fix, but a plan that fits your daily life, with guidance spread across the year. Covered by Dutch basic health insurance, no referral needed.
“A resolution in itself is not bad, it can give structure.”
