Neighbourhood research with the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences
NutriHealth is a partner of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool van Amsterdam) in applied research on the lifestyle of older adults in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. Not from a desk, but in the neighbourhood.

The Hogeschool van Amsterdam does applied research: researchers, students and professionals work together on questions from the city. For the Wildemanbuurt in Osdorp the question was how to help older residents with limited health literacy live healthier, in a way that suits them.
NutriHealth takes part as a dietitian practice from the neighbourhood. Our main location is in Slotervaart and we hold consultations at Huisartsenpraktijk Ookmeer, a GP practice that is also a partner in the project. That way the research connects to the care people already receive here.
In 2026 the collaboration continues in LION, a follow-up project on lifestyle interventions for older adults in the neighbourhood, within the programme Meer impact op extramurale zorg (more impact on care outside the hospital). More projects are coming; we will add them here once they are public.

Working together on a healthy Wildemanbuurt
A Hogeschool van Amsterdam project (April to December 2025) for older residents with limited health literacy. Around the GO-Osdorp meeting place, residents, students and professionals work together on nutrition, exercise and wellbeing.

Follow-up project in which NutriHealth is once again a partner, within the programme Meer impact op extramurale zorg. The aim: lifestyle guidance that reaches older adults in their own neighbourhood, close to home and without barriers.
